ABOUT SKYE ACOUSTICS

Founded in 1980 as Target Limited by Allan B Dawson III, Skye Acoustics has been launched under the Target Limited moniker as an expanded services company. The initial goal of Target Limited was to provide custom "one-off" deigns for home audio systems of a very special musical quality. Many audiophile quality loudspeakers lack the "fun factor" by virtue of being overly analytical or deficient in the ability to produce a sense of emotion. Target Limited has designed many musically involving custom models over the years. Forward to 1988...Target Limited becomes inspired to develop a world class super monitor. In 1990 the Target Limited Ultima Audio Column makes its debut. Many music lovers and audio professionals find the design to be quite enjoyable, offering an intriguing tonal blend and harmonic accuracy, while providing an unusual ability to replicate the live event. In 1998 an avant guard sub-woofer is designed utilizing one of the most fundamental aspects of sound propagation physics. The Acousti-Vent sub-woofer proved to be a hit with the lucky customers who choose them for their system(s). For over twenty years Target Limited, has been involved with a wide variety of specialty audio / video retail operations, in both sales and technical services. This extensive exposure to the methods and design preferences of the New England market allow Skye Accoustics to cull the best of what these organizations have to offer. In late 2002, Target Limited evolved in order to present a production series of high-end loudspeaker models. Skye Acoustics is born; offering a product line of fourteen different models intended for use in the finest music reproduction and home theater systems available today. |
